    - Cutting speed of drilling operation can be defined as the peripheral speed of a point on the surface of the drill in contact with the workpiece.

    - Given:

    Diameter of the drill (D) = 10 mm

    Rotational speed of the drill (N) = 200 rpm

    - The cutting speed (Vc) of drilling operation is given by,

    Vc = (π D N) / 1000

    = (π 10 200) / 1000

    = 6.283 m/min
