    • Elastomers are viscoelastic and have low Young's modulus and high failure strain. These have weak intermolecular forces compared to other materials.

    • Elastomers are synthetic rubbers and have some properties of natural rubbers. These are manufactured using raw materials like limestone, petroleum, alcohol, sulphur, ammonia etc.

    • Elastomers and plastic resins have same structures. They are hydrocarbon polymers and are thermoplastic in raw material or crude stage.

    • Silicon rubbers, polyurethane rubbers, nitrite rubbers, butadiene rubbers, etc are different types of synthetic rubbers. These different types of synthetic rubbers are produced by condensation polymerization, copolymerization, or polymerizing
