    - Electronic comparators use electric and electronic circuits to provide magnification. They use the principle of radio oscillations and frequency modulation to measure distances.

    - Electronic comparators have less number of moving parts.

    - They are not sensitive to vibrations .

    - Accuracy of the instruments is affected due to variation in voltage or frequency.

    - Zero drift is caused due to heating of coils in the measuring unit.
