    - Allowance represents maximum interference for interference fits and is negative. In interference fits, two parts are fastened or pushed together by means of friction.

    - Tight fit is a type of transition fit and these provide interference less than force fits. Force fits have maximum interference.

    - Push fit is also a type transition fit and have slight clearance. These fits are generally used for components which are to be disassembled during use.
