As per the National Civil Aviation Policy 2016, Government of India will enter into an Open Sky Air Service Agreement on a reciprocal basis with SAARC nations and countries with territory located entirely beyond a 5000 km radius.
  • Unlimited flights above the existing bilateral rights will be permitted directly to and from major airports as notified by the Government.
  • Points of call at all other airports will be honoured till these are renegotiated.
