    Given:

    D = 100 mm

    N = 200 rpm

    f = 0.2 mm/rev

    Time taken to face a workpiece is given by the formula,

    Tface = L / (f x N)

    = (D/2) / (f x N)

    = (100/2) / (0.2 x 200)

    = 1.25 min
