    Sir,
    Power required for maching is Fc*V= Power right?

    - Given:

    Lathe efficiency (η) = 0.85

    Tangential force (Ft) = 1200N

    Cutting speed (V) = 195 m/min

    = (195 / 60) m/sec

    The power required can be given by,

    Power = (Ft x V) / η …...... W

    = (Ft x V) / (1000 x η) …...... kW

    = (1200 x 195) / (60 x 1000 x 0.85)

    = 4.59 kW
