    Given: m1 = 30 kg, m2 = 10 kg

    Solution:

    (Kinetic energy)A = (Kinetic energy)B

    (1/2) (30) v1 2 = (½) (10) v22

    v1 = v2 /√3

    Momentum = m1 v1

    The ratio of magnitudes for linear momentum = (m1v1) / (m2v2)

    Substituting the given values,

    m1 = 30 kg and m2 = 10 kg

    = [30 x (v2 /√3)] / [10 x v2]

    = √3 : 1
