CM Naveen Patnaik launched the Odisha Adarsh Vidyalaya project at Sasan Mazagaon village in Hinjli, Ganjam district. Aim of this project is to provide modern schools on the lines of KVs in rural underdeveloped parts of the state. Adarsh Vidyalayas are expected to have hostel facility and affiliation with CBSE, along with English as the first language and Odia as a second language in the medium of teaching.
  • Schools will have teacher pupil ration of 1:25 and classroom student ratio of 1:40.
  • Close to 50 percent of the seats would be reserved for scheduled categories and girls
