Pakistan will become the world’s fifth largest nuclear weapons state as per a report by a leading US based think tank which projected the country’s stockpile to rise by 250 warheads within a span of 10 years. Pakistan has estimated nuclear stockpile of close to 130 warheads up from 110 warheads in 2011, according to the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. Stock pile could rise by 250 in 2025, making it the fifth largest nuclear weapon state. Six type of currently operational nuclear ballistic missiles are also there with two more under development.
