    -Password file - You can create a password file using the password file creation utility, ORAPWD. For some operating systems, you can create this file as part of your standard installation.

    -Control file - It is a small binary file that records the physical structure of the database and includes: The database name. Names and locations of associated datafiles and online redo log files. The timestamp of the database creation.

    -Listener Control file - Listener configuration, stored in the listener.ora file, consists of the following elements:

    1. Name of the listener
    2. Protocol addresses that the listener is accepting connection requests on
    3. Database services
