a. 170 kms
b. 120 kms
c. 270 kms
d. None of these
e. Cannot be determined

ANSWER: 120 kms

Let the time taken to travel the distance without taking stops be “b” hours.
Thus, we get,
60 x b = 40(b + 1)
b = 2
Thus, we get 60 x 2 = 120 kms
