    - Soldering, welding and brazing are metal joining process.

    Soldering:

    - The process of joining similar or dissimilar materials by heating them below 450o C using non-ferrous filler material is called as soldering.

    - Tin-lead alloy is the filler material used in soldering process.

    - As temperature is below the melting point of workpieces, there is no change in mechanical properties when they are joined.

    Brazing:

    - The process of joining similar or dissimilar materials by heating them above 450o C but below melting temperature of workpiece is called as brazing.

    Welding:

    - The process of joining two metallic components by heating them to semi-molten state is called as welding. This method does not use pressure or any filler material for this purpose.
