Design of RC phase shift oscillator involves several considerable conditions and reasons. They include the value of feedback factor, the condition of gain in order to obtain the sustained nature of oscillations, hfe value for the transistorized circuit.

It is essential to consider the value of feedback factor which must be equal to 1/29 at the frequency of oscillation. In addition to this, the magnitude of gain must be absolutely greater than or equal to '29' so as to obtain the sustained oscillations.

Besides these, transistor cannot be used if its hfe value is less than 44.5. Hence, it is essential that the value of hfe in a transistorized circuit must be greater than 44.5 while designing the RC phase shift oscillator.
