    - Sectional modulus: The ratio of moment of inertia of beam section about neutral axis and the distance of extreme fiber from neutral axis.

    - It is denoted by Z and is given as Z = I/y, here I = moment of inertia

    - mm3 or cm3 is the SI unit of sectional modulus.
