    - The product of force and the distance over which force is applied is work done.

    -Work done = Force x displacement

    Force is measured in Newton and displacement in meter. Therefore, the unit of work done is N.m

    - Joule = Nm = Pa m3

    here, Pa is Pascal, N is Newton, m is meter.
