Primarily, the goal is to develop 3 Adarsh Grams by March 2019, of which one would be achieved by 2016. Pm has adopted Jayapur village from Varanasi. Sachin Tendulkar adopted Puttamraju vari Kandriga (P.R.Kandriga), a village near Gudur in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. Sachin is nominated to the Rajya Sabha.
