    - Smoke testing is broad and shallow. Sanity testing is deep and narrow.

    - Smoke testing is scripted and Sanity testing is unscripted.

    - Smoke testing is like a general health check up and sanity testing is like a specialized health check up.

    - Smoke testing is a subset of regression testing and sanity testing is a subset of acceptance testing.
