Surya Kiran: Indo-Nepal exerciseIndo-Nepal Joint Military Training was held in Pithoragarh from March 7 to 20, 2017.

Ekta Shakti Battalion of the Punjab Regiment of the Indian Army and Durga Baksh Battalion of the Nepalese army participated in the joint exercise named Surya Kiran-XI which is the 11th iteration.

It is aimed at training troops in counter insurgency operations and enhance defence cooperation and military relations between the two nations.

It is an ideal platform for personnel of two armies to share their experiences.
