    - Parallelism: If the distance measured between two lines, planes or axes is same, then they are said to be parallel.

    - Parallelism between a trajectory and plane can be tested when the plane is on any moving component or when the plane is not on a moving component.

    - If parallelism of a plane on a moving component is to measured, then the indicator is attached to the fixed component of machine and its plunger is adjusted at right angle to the surface which is to be tested.
