IEC standard of transients-surges measures the ability of equipment to withstand transients & hence they are generally classified into switching and lightning schemes.

ESD standard is related to equipment, systems and peripherals that are associated with the static electricity discharges due to installation as well as environmental conditions.

Radiated EMI is an outcome of spurious radiation caused due to devices like thyristors, switches operating at inductive load, welders, etc.

Fast transient is repetitive nature of test comprising bursts with number of fast transients that simulates with an arcing of contacts from inductive loads, coupled with power supply, control & signal ports of several electronic equipments.
