Signal integrity is a representation of timing and quality of signal. Signal integrity problems also occur in high-speed designs. The transmission lines and its consequences are also associated with the problem of signal integrity.

These consequences or effects of transmission lines include undershoot, overshoot, ringback, monotonicity, crosstalk and timing. All these effects of transmission lines are responsible in creating the signal integrity problems related to high-speed designs.

Other problems in high-speed designs include clock distribution, reference planes, high-speed layouts, board interconnect delay & so on.
