UGC appoints standing committee to prepare list of accredited journals

University Grants Commission has informed that it has constituted a standing committee under Member UGC Shri VS Chauhan for creating a list of journals under clause 6.0.5(i) of the UGC
  • This clause is for minimum qualification for appointment of teachers and other academic staff in universities and colleges and measures for the maintenance standards in higher education(4th Amendment Regulations 2016)
  • According to these regulations only those research papers that are published in the journals included in the “List of Journals” are eligible for scoring on the research and academic contribution category of the Academic Performance Indicators (API) for teacher and academic staff.

    I already published many papers starting fr 2010 till September 2015 in some journals..one is journal of health and we'll being,and another RJSSM(Singapore) before yr standing committee remove the list fr yr ugc...more than 22papers I published...so is not counted as a value system? Pliz guide..since 2015 October I have not published but I have many unpublished work. Do yr standing committee will make some rules behind such unpublished work also but I never want to publish any of my self independent research work? How can you value such things? Pliz suggest. I m an employee fr Dept of psychology,MZU. I m fr Manipur working here since 11th Sept 2006 till date. Before that I worked as an adhoc lecturer at Dept of psychology,Zakir Husain college fr 8th jan2004 till 31st March 2006.

    under 4th amendment ugc recognized journals are eligible for api score from 2016.what about the journals published before 2016 and these journals are not ugc list recognised, if want to apply for professor post today, from 2016 how i am going score 400 point with only ugc recognized journals, guide me
