An agreement for developing the first smart sub-city in East Delhi was signed between National Building Construction Corporation Ltd (NBCC) and Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on 4 March 2015. The sub-city will be pedestrian-friendly, integrated by multiple modes of transport, walk to work concept, reducing the need to travel for daily needs.
