The quantitative description of a system in a product development cycle is defined in terms of process known as 'Validation'. It helps in determining the suitability of requirements so as to yield expected system solution.

It assigns the level of suitability to system so that the desired system solution or output can be obtained precisely. It is slightly different from the 'verification' process in product development cycle.

Verification helps in evaluating the satisfaction of system with respect to the requirements. In short, it quantifies the system performance and allow it to compare with the requirements.

Integration involves uniting or assembling the several components of subsystem into one complete system, whereas field-testing gets implemented to the finished product & it mainly focuses on long term effect.
