    - Concurrent engineering is a process of designing a product in which different stages run simultaneously.

    - This method decreases time for product development and marketing. This results in improved productivity and also reduces cost.

    - This method of product development is called as waterfall method. As these activities are sequentially handled by different departments such as market or research department, design department, purchasing department, manufacturing department, etc and then on to sales department.
