    - ISO standard document provides requirements, specifications or characteristics which are used to ensure that materials, products or services are fit to use.

    - ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and TS 16949 are the quality standards used.

    1) ISO 14000

    - These standards are pertained to international Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
    - The environmental effects included under this standard are pollution, waste generation, energy consumption, etc
    - These standards are designed to encompass diverse geographical, cultural or social conditions.

    2) TS 16949

    - This standard is used in international automobile companies to set automotive quality system standards.

    3) ISO 9001-2000

    - This standard is used for establishing quality systems, to maintain records of quality system,etc.
