    Strain:

    - The deformation per unit length is called as strain. An object undergoes deformation, when force or load is applied on it.

    - It is given as: e = δl / l

    Stress:

    - The internal force acting per unit area is called as stress. When external forces act on a body, internal resisting forces set up in the body which has same magnitude and are opposite in direction. It is measured by N/mm2

    - It is given as: σ = P / A

Modulus of elasticity: The ratio of the stress applied on a body to resulting strain within the elastic limit is called as modulus of elasticity.
