    - Atomization is a process of mechanically disintegrating molten metal into fine particles using compressed air, water or inert gas.
    D. P. G. Process, Mannesmann process, dissolved gas atomization, rotating electrodes atomization and cold stream atomization are different methods of atomization.

    - This technique can be used to make powder of any material that can be melted.

    - Atomization has high productivity and low capital cost.

    - By controlling the atomization processing parameters the size, shape and structure of particles can be controlled.

    - Metals of high purity or pre-alloyed powders can be easily obtained from melt.
