    - OSPF is an interior gateway protocol (IGP) for routing Internet protocol.

    - It collects link state information from available routers and constructs a topology map of the network.

    - OSPF supports IPv4 and IPv6 network protocols.

    - OSPF computes the shortest path tree for each route.

    - It detects the changes in the topology, such as link failures and converges on a loop-free routing structure within seconds.

    - Following are the features of OSPF:

    Load Balancing : Gives more efficient network utilization results. It can load balance network traffic between multiple paths of the same metric value.

    Security : Transferring of data packets are authenticated.

    Supports authentication : It supports authentication using passwords and other methods.
