Learn to use "As long as/ So long as" correctly

As long as/ So long as

The conjunction ‘As long as/ So long as’ denotes time during which an action or activity occurs.

Example:

1) As long as I am the president, no body can eye the organization. (Affirmative sense)
2) So long as he does not give me my share, I will not talk to him. (Negative sense)

From the above 2 examples we deduce that:
  • 'As long as' but 'As long as' is used to convey an affirmative sense and 'So long as' is used to convey both affirmative and negative sense.
