What is a SVCD?

- SVCD stands for Super Video Compact Disk.

- It is similar to VCD and has the capacity to hold the audio / video files between 35 and 60 minutes.

- SVCD can be played on individual / standalone DVD /. CD players and computer CD ROMs / DVD ROMs.

- A software based decoder /player is required to play SVCD in CD/DVD ROMs.

- The SVCD quality is better than VCD. Sharpen pictures are visible using SVCD because of higher resolution.

- Simple photo albums, presentation shows, videos can be played with background audio.
