What is aircraft maintenance?

It is the overall repair, modification and inspection of an aircraft. It includes the installation or removal of a component from an aircraft for the purpose of maintenance. The maintenance of aircraft is highly regulated.

About the course.

The AME course is a specialized licensing program for the servicing and maintenance of the Aircraft. The Course is approved by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Govt. of India. After clearing three DGCA examinations students are awarded the Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License (BAMEL). It is designed to meet the demand for trained & highly skilled Aviation personnel. The course has an great significance in the aviation sector as they are the ones who ensure that the aircraft is in a perfect condition before take-off.
