Are you planning to go for further studies?

Be straight forward in your answer.
-If you are pursuing further studies, say so. Tell them why you want to go for that course
-If you are taking up a distance education course or a part time course, they should know, as you will need to take leaves when you appear for exams

  • If you have plans for a post graduation programme or any other course in future, feel free to let the interviewer know your plans. While most company want to hire someone who is going to stay long term with them, they would never want to stop you if you express your desires at going for a higher education. The best way is to be frank and tell them whatever your future plans are.

If you have decided that you have had enough of academics and want to get into the professional world to gain experiences and utilize the theories they have taught you for years, the interviewer would be more than pleased to know that.

If you want to get into a job first, work for a couple of years and then go for post graduation, you can absolutely tell that to the interviewer. You can add that though you have plans for post graduation after a couple of years, currently you want to join a company and gain work experience which you feel is equally important as academics.
Additionally, you can also tell them which mode of education you would be preferring for post graduate or any course in case you would be pursuing one in future. If you would be going for distance education and would continue to work or traditional learning and part time work, this is the time to have this discussion.
