Can you tell me something about Biotechnnology as a course?

I have passed out of Class XIIth and have heard a lot about Biotechnology. I am interested in pursuing this course in my graduation. Can you tell me something about it?

India has witnessed growth in the sectors of Biotechnology in the past few years and has been estimated to rise to new heights in years to come. The current estimated value is $11 billion. Studies suggest that there is competence for a huge growth in revenue from biotechnology by 2025. Teenagers in India are mostly expected to be following either the path to engineering or medicine if they opt for a graduation in Science.
