A call center is a service centre which provides outsourcing in fields of Finance, IT, Engineering, Banking, Manufacturing, Security, Market Research, Sales, Utilities, credit collections, Technical queries, Customer services with adequate telecom facilities, access to wide database and internet which provide voice based support to customers in the country or abroad through trained personnel. Call Center services can be inbound, outbound or specialized depending of the type of organization.
Performance and growth of industry in India
Call Centers also known as Business Processing Organization (BPO) is the industry which has shown a tremendous growth in the recent years. It is the most popular service having a great scope that a BPO Industry provides. With the expansion of Indian economy and globalization more and more International companies are outsourcing their call centers in India. This industry attracts people from various areas, both for employment and business purpose. In the coming years, the industry will continue to grow which will result in more job opportunities in India.
