    Introduction

    Supply Chain Management is a process used by companies to ensure systematic and strategic management of various business functions such as procurement of materials, transformation of materials into finished products, and the distribution of these products to the end users or customers. Typically, there are 5 stages in supply chain management: Planning, Development, Making, Delivering and Returning. In planning stage, strategy is developed to meet the needs of the customers. In development stage, strong relationship is built with suppliers of the raw
    materials. In making stage, product is manufactured, tested, packaged and delivered to the customers. In the final stage, defective products are returned by the customers to the company. These processes of Supply chain are used within a particular company and across businesses to improve the performance of the companies and the supply chain as a whole. Coordination between the various functions of the supply chain is very crucial for the proper supply chain management. Supply chains exist both in manufacturing and service industry.
