CCTV is the short form for Closed Circuit television cameras, which is a monitoring system that can yield pictures or archives for reconnaissance purposes. The oldest form of investigation cameras is the analog security camera and is the most commonly system used in the retail industry to catch hold of any misconduct like thefts. It is cheaper to install an analog camera and take care of the security issues.

There are various advantages of installing a CCTV Camera, firstly they are cost efficient. • CCTV cameras are lifeless devices, capable of capturing the incidences within them to be visualized later. This technology is undoubtedly very useful and helpful in curbing the mal-practices and anti-social activities at various places across the city.

But, to replace the live security guards, it is a meaning discussion to carry out. A CCTV camera can just record the crime, but it cannot stop the incidence from occurring. A security guard thus posted, definitely can alert many others and fight the scenario to stop the crime from happening there and then. A replacement with a CCTV camera is totally meaningless at such a situation.

The security guards so posted at various places are often found sleeping during their duty hours which is unacceptable. But those people need to be replaced with some other people, humans, rather than a machine which could not offer any help at the time of requirement. Though it might help to resolve a case of crime, CCTV camera can never fight back a crime to stop the same.
