Selection process at CGI

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Minimum 60% in class X and XII and 65 % in Graduation.
  • No backlogs are allowed.
CGI selection process has four rounds:

1. Aptitude Test
2. Group discussion
3. Technical Interview
4. HR Interview

The first round is aptitude test which contains the questions based on quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning and verbal ability. The topics included in this test are: speed, time and work, probability, heights and distance, grammar, synonyms, antonyms, age, seating arrangements, blood relation etc.

Some of the sample questions are asked at aptitude test,

1. Henry and Jordan together have Rs. 1050. On taking Rs. 150 from Henry, Henry will have same amount as what Jordan had earlier. Find the ration of amounts with Henry and Jordan initially.

2. Ajay and Vijay's mud forts have heights 8cm and 15cm. They are 24cm apart. How far are the fort tops from each other?

After that the next round is Group discussion. GD panel will give you the topic, based on that you have to share your thoughts in proper way. When they give you the GD topics, make sure that you have proper time management to grab the points and talk with the good things. Take a chance and speak loud and clear about the topic. In GD, GD panel only checks your confidence and communication skills.

Technical Interview Questions asked at Technical Interview

Technical interview is fully based on C language, SQL, Java, DBMS and some advance level programming languages such as Haskell, Scala, Standard ML and Ocaml etc.

Note: Haskell, Scala, Standard ML and Ocaml, these languages are optional. Candidate no need to worry about it. Prepare well with your basic concepts of programming languages that you know.

1. What is NULL Pointer?

2. What is user defined exception?

3. What is Trigger?

4. What are Transactions?

HR Interview Questions asked at CGI

The final round is HR interview. First, the candidate is expected to introduce him/herself because their attitude is evaluated by the interviewer. Some questions are also asked to candidate whether they are ready to relocate and ready to sign bond with the company or not. So, prepare yourself to your best.

2. Do you have any other offer at hand?
