Purushottam Express becomes first train with Braille-signage coach
Purushottam express is set to become the first train of the country to have a Braille-embedded AC coach for visually impaired passengers. The railways have manufactured the AC three tier coaches with Braille signals for Purushottam express operational from Delhi to Puri. As of now, the seat no, instructions etc are written in the form of vinyl stickers or metallic plates.
Release of book “Modinomics”
Sameer kocchar released his much talked about book Modinomics based on the economics of Gujarat CM Narendra Modi and his vision and method that drew Gujarat towards the development lane. The book gains momentum as Narendra Modi is the Prime ministerial candidate from BJP and has given his vision to boost India’s economy.
Government to set-up plants for manufacturing of semiconductor chips
Central government has given its nod for setting up two plants for manufacturing semiconductor chips by India’s Jaiprakash associates and IBM as well as Israel’s Tower Jazz in Uttar Pradesh. The second plant is to be set up in Gujarat by France’s STMicroelectronics and India’s HSMC technologies with Malaysia’s Silterra. The total invest projected is around Rs 63,412 crore.
Finance minister to attend G-20 meeting in Australia
Finance minister of India P. Chidambaram will attend the G-20 meeting to be hel this month in Australia. He will be accompanied with RBI governor Raghuram Rajan and economic affairs secretary Arvind Mayaram. This year the meeting will be focused on US Federal Reserve Tapering Programme and reforms to check Tax evasion.
India to host World Bridge Championship in 2015
The biggest championship in card games will be hosted by India in 2015 as World bridge championship for Bermuda Bowl (men) and Venice cup (women) will be organized in India.

India hosts world agro forestry congress
The 3rd World Agro forestry Congress is hosted by India in New Delhi inaugurated by Pranab Mukherjee. The theme was “Trees for life: accelerating the impact of agro forestry”. This was an initiative by world agro forestry centre headquartered in Kenya.
