Report on air pollution by WHO


As per a report by the World Health Organizatio, India is home to top 4 most polluted cities of the world namely New Delhi, Patna, Gwalior and Raipur. In the report 13 dirtiest cities out of 20 are Indian.

Coca Cola to drop BVO from its drinks


Coca cola will not use Brominated Vegetable Oil in its sport drink as a ingredient. The flame retardant 'BVO' will now be replaced with a safer sucrose acetate isobutyrate or glycerol ester of rosine. The BVO could be harmful causing neurological disorders.

Thailand PM ousted


Yingluck Shingawatra, the Thailand PM has been ousted out of power by the Supreme Court as she was found guilty of abusing her power while transferring her national security head. Till the fresh elections are held in July, Niwatthamrong Boonsongpaisan will assume the role.

RupaY system launched


India has now become the 7th country in the world to have its own payment gateway system with “RupaY”. The card, equivalent of Visa and Mastercard, will not only reduce dependence on cash, but will offer users diverse set of payment option within the country. This card is been set up by National Payment Corporatin of India (NPCI).

Forbes releases list of 2000 most powerful companies


Forbes has released its annual list of most powerful companies of thw world. It is tha 11th edition of this list by Forbes. 54 Indian companies feature in th list. Reliance Industries placed globally at 135th is the most powerful Indian company in the list. It is followed by State Bank of India (155th), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (176th), ICICI Bank (304th), Tata Motors (332nd), Indian Oil (416th), HDFC Bank (422nd), Coal India (428th), Larsen & Toubro (500th) among top 500 companies. Top 3 companies are from China:-Industrial & Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), China – Banking,China Construction Bank, China – Banking anAgricultural Bank of China, China – Banking at no. 1,2 and 3 respectively.

New Frontiers Award 2014


India has bagged the new frontiers award 2014 for the rescue work done by it to recover from a series of natural disasters happened in last one year. the award is provided by Arabian travel mart and last year the 8th edition of this award was given to Philiphenes.

Jacob Zuma retains his presidency


Jacob Zuma is set to get one more term as South African President, as the ruling African NAtional Congress has won the general elections securing almost 62% of the total vote share.

International Arch of Europe award


Indian Aviation Academy won this prestigious award in th gold category. the award is given by the Business Initiative Directives Group (BIDG), Madrid (Spain).
