Explain the relation of BIOS to memory addressing?



The BIOS is related to memory addressing in the following ways:

- The address bus generates a wire like pattern which is also known as the address space. In the address space the last 65536 is reserved for the BIOS of the system. Around 384K is reserved for the system ROM.

- The system BIOS is present in a ROM chip is usually attached to the motherboard.

- The system BIOS is like a set of configuration which is also stored on a ROM chip, this chip is known as the system ROM.

- The BIOS is responsible for supporting the ram modules and the processor.
