Explain the use of ‘Storage Location Rule’.

The Storage Location Rule assigned in the Delivery Document Type determines the storage Location, even when storage location is entered during delivery creation. This is based on the following rules:

• MALA – The storage location is determined based on the shipping point, the delivering plant, and the material’s storage condition defined in the material master.

• RETA –Based on Plant or Situation or Storage condition

• MARE – MALA then RETA .
