How are the target markets selected?


A company may choose its market segmentation strategy on the basis of :

a.Undifferentiated marketing: in which the target market is treated as one eg. Coca Cola sells Coke,Limca,Thums Up etc. without distinguishing the target audience.

b.Differentiated marketing: In which products are segmented separately eg. HLL sells different soaps like Lux, Liril, Rexona- each soap having its own market.

c.Concentrated marketing: which follows a single-segmented approach focusing upon a single area.
