How can I make a career in Forensic science?

How can I make a career in Forensic science? What is the job prospect for this career and what is the course of study that could help me attain a stable job in this stream? I am a student of 10+2 with Biology. I have heard that student of MBBS make it well into the forensic science career. Can I make a career in this stream without going for medical? Also tell me the names of the institutes that offer this program.

Non medical students can also make a career in forensic science but it is true that they have better chances of getting a stable job. However, with a graduation and course from a good university you can make a good career in forensic science. If you do not want to opt for MBBS, you can go for B. Sc and later go for a post graduation in forensic science. There are various diploma or certificate courses offered in forensic science and you can work in Research and Analysis Wing, or crime branch of state police or CBI or Intelligence Bureau. Job prospect is good, especially in government sector for students of forensic science in India as well as abroad.
