About Indian Airforce

The Indian Air Force is the air arm of the Indian armed forces. Its complement of personnel and aircraft assets ranks fourth amongst the airforces of the world. Its primary mission is to secure Indian airspace and to conduct aerial warfare during armed conflict.

In this section, I will be sharing the selection and interview process conducted in campus placement at Indian Airforce.

Selection Process at Indian Airforce

The selection process at Indian Airforce consists of only one round:

1. Aptitude Test

In Aptitude Test, questions are asked in two sets – General Engineering and Special paper.

General Engineering set will contain the questions that are common in Engineering. So, candidates must prepare the syllabus thoroughly. Some sample questions asked in the test are:

1. The maximum demand on the power system is 100 MW. If the annual load factor is 40%. Calculate the total energy generated in a year.

2. What are the sources involved in aerodynamics?

In second set, questions are given from the respective background of candidates. You can expect most of the questions from Aeronautics in this set. Some questions candidates can refer like:

1. What are the major sectors involved in aircraft maintenance?
2. What are the different stress types present in aircraft operations?
