What is the duration of the course?
The duration of the course is two years. The program is divided into four semesters.
What is the eligibility criteria to take up an MBA in aviation management?
UPES – Candidates should pass higher and secondary level with a minimum of 50% marks. They should be a graduate with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university.
International Institute for Aerospace Engineering and Management – Candidates should have any degree from a recognized university with not less than 50% of marks. They should have a CAT/MAT or KMAT score of 500 out of 800.
MAPLES – International Institute of Air Hostess Training - Candidates should pass higher and secondary level with a minimum of 50% marks. They should be a graduate with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university.
What is the fee structure?
The total fee structure for the course ranges between Rupees 2,00,000 to Rupees 3,00,000.
What is the admission process?
UPES – The candidates can seek admissions by taking the UPES online management entrance test. Valid CMAT scores are also acceptable.
International Institute for Aerospace Engineering and Management – An entrance exam would be conducted followed by a group discussion and then an interview. An experience in the aviation industry is an added preference.
What are the career prospects?
A student with a management degree in aviation can expect to enter into Aerospace Regulatory Authorities, National and International Airports, National and International Airlines, Air Cargo Operators, Aviation Fuel Companies, Allied Aviation Service Providers etc.
Some of the profiles you can expect to take up are: Ground transportation operation manger, Programme manger, Supervisor – regulatory and planning, Associate Professors at College levels, Aviation Management expert etc.
