NMAT - Test structure and selection process

What is the test structure, i.e. No. of questions and time limit for NMAT?


NMAT is an objective type multiple-choice test, with three sections, namely Language skills, Quantitative skills and Logical Reasoning. First section of Language skills is of 22 minutes duration comprising of 32 questions; second section of Quantitative skills has 48 questions and has to be completed in 60 minutes and the third section of Logical reasoning has 40 questions in all and the applicant gets 38 minutes to complete them. Thus total of both number of questions and time in minutes comes out to be 120.

What is the selection process after clearing the NMAT Entrance written test?


Candidates who are shortlisted after clearing the NMAT Entrance written test are called for Case Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview (PI). Both Case Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview (PI) are conducted in Mumbai only, for which the applicant has to carry their NMAT Admit card. Call letters which are available on the official website www.nmims.edu has to be downloaded and the candidate needs to bring the same for Case Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview (PI).
