Paper correction and cut off for IBPS CWE

How are the papers for IBPS CWE corrected?

Each correct answer is given the marks assigned to that question. Penalty is given if a candidate chooses wrong answer.

As a penalty one fourth or 0.25 is deducted from the marks assigned to that question for which wrong answer has been given so as to get the corrected score.

However, if a candidate chooses not to answer a particular question and leaves the question blank i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate then there is no penalty and no marks will be deducted.

The corrected score obtained by each candidate in different session is first normalized using equipercentile method. Linear conversion method is used to standardize normalized score. If a candidates standard score is in fraction then the marks obtained is rounded off to the nearest integer. It means that if the standard score of a candidate is 0.50 or more then it is rounded off to next higher integer.

What is the cut-off score for IBPS CWE and what is the time frame for which the score will remain valid? How can a candidate view his score?

Each candidate has to secure minimum standard score in each test and also on the Total Weighted standard score. In order to qualify in each test a candidate should score cut-off point.

Averaging is done to find out the cut-off points of a candidate. If a candidate belongs to General category then cut-off point is Average – ¼ Standard Deviation and for the reserved category candidate cutoff point is Average – ¾ Standard Deviation.

Score of the candidate is available on the IBPS website and candidate can view their score using Registration no., Roll no, password, etc. Score of a candidate remains valid for 1 year from the date of display of score on the IBPS website. During that 1 year period recruitment exercises are done.
