Selection Process at Polaris

Here, I am going to discuss the exam pattern and selection process at Polaris Software. Preparing with these, will help you to crack the interview process.

Academic Criteria: The Candidate must be BE, B.Tech (C.S/I.T/E.C.E), MCA and got 65 percent throughout (Class X , XII and Graduation). The candidates must not have a gap year.

The selection process of the company consists of 4 rounds. These rounds are as follows:

1. Written Exam
2. Group Discussion
3. Technical Interview
4. HR Interview

Written test consist of two sections: Aptitude section and English language

Aptitude section include topics like time, speed & distance, algebra, arithmetic, probability, geometry, permutation & combination etc.

English section consists of questions based on synonyms, antonyms and sentence completion etc.

There is no negative marking in the written exam.

Second round is Group Discussion. Topics that are asked in this round are general topics like "Advertising is a waste of resources". It is also an elimination round.

The third round is Technical Interview. Candidates must prepare well for the technical interview. You can expect questions like,

1. What is ResourceBundle class?

2. What is the function of the kernel?

3. Why there is no concept of global variables in Java?

Last round is HR interview which is taken by the HR recruiter of the company. This round is just to check the communication skills, confidence and general awareness of the candidates.
